Münster

July 27, 2011

The first two days of my 4 weeks went pretty well as you can see. Played two sessions NL400 – Nl1k SH, running pretty well and feeling kind of really confident with my game. Yesterday I travelled to Münster to visit my friends and my girlfriend for the next 10 days. Planed on playing a lot of poker there as well and cannot wait to put in a bunch of hands the next days. At the 5. August I am going to visit a friend of mine in Montpellier (South France) trying to have some real summer time with some sunshine – yeah, the weather in germany sucks as usual. I am not sure yet if I am going to play poker while staying there, because I believe I cannot play at Ongame there, but as said, not sure yet. So for now one it´s time for having some Good Time!

Listening to DrGiggy while travelling – a lot of fun and good information at once

Running good the first two sessions

Let´s start officially

July 25, 2011

I had the idea of that Blog a few days/weeks ago, but did not really started to write officially. One hour ago i finished my last exam for the summer, so for now on I have 4 weeks for a lot of  holidays, journeys and a lot of poker. I try to grind a lot in combination with making a lot of great things and having a got time with my friends and my girlfriend. I keep updating. So let´s start that thing!

Nice Sunday evening

July 17, 2011

After “finishing” learning for some tests I have tomorrow and on Wednesday, I decided to play the 200$ Ongame Major while grinding some cashgame. Ended up min-cashing the tournement for something about 260$ and my daily grind was pretty great as well.

I have a strict plan for tomorrow, so that i hopefully can play some more poker tomorrow evening after doing a lot of work for the school thing. Want to crush the test on Wednesday for sure!

About me

July 17, 2011

I am living with my best friend (not a poker player) in Mainz (Germany) and go the FH Mainz to study building engineering. Originally I am from a small town near Osnabrück and since August 2008 i lived in Münster, which is kind of my hometown, because the biggest part of my friends + my girlfriend are living there.

I started playing online-poker in January 2009 with a deposit of 10€ (14$) and from then on i started to grind up the limits. Now my regually game is  NL Holdem SH (NL400 – NL1k) playing at the Ongame-Network.  I try to give you some insight in my everyday life at that limits and in my game in general. I try to make some videos, post some hands, post some pictures and giving your an idea how i try to use my time best to make it possible to combine playing poker with all the other things in my life. So i hope you have some fun following my blog.

What this is about

July 17, 2011

I am just trying to start blogging over my journey as a semi-professionell online-poker player and my life in general. I am studying building engineering at the FH Mainz since march 2011 and try to combine this two things as good as i can. But in the last 3 months of studying and playing poker for a living at the same time, i noticed how much i have to structure my life and use my time in the best possible way , if i want to do great at BOTH things (maybe three things is correct if having a good time with my friends and my girlfriend counts officially ;) ). I mean it´s pretty easy to say “Oh I just play poker and in the rest of my time I try to do my best at the studing think” – but that´s not that easy. I just catch myself so many times wasting time for just beeing lazy and hanging around. So for now on, i really try to use my time in the best possibly way to have success at everything i do in my life and to do that, i thought, it´s a good idea to make my thoughts public and try to documente my daily life with online-poker, studying and life in general.

All i said may sound a little bit negative at all, but ,i think, it´s going to be a great thing to write that blog. So have fun with that!

Cheers
